My Good Deed of the Day...

So, like any other day during the week before going to work, I would walk Quincy, my ~3y.o. German Shepherd. However, today got a little different.

We didn't make it far into the standard path that we take before we were greet by a 'yalp-yalp'. Of course, Quincy wasn't sure what to make of it at first and saw this little beagle approaching him. This started to excite him. Not wanting him [Quincy] to approach this unknown dog, I held him back and observed. This beagle belonged to someone as he had a neck chain and dog tags. So, I now have this little beagle wanting to play with my dog (and vice versa) while at the same time, trying to get a hold of the tags for contact information.

No dog name but got the owner's name, address and phone number.

Called the first number, no answer but left voice mail.
Called the second number, no answer and could not leave voice mail (box filled).

So, I decided to Google the address and drove to the address on the tags.

Owners weren't home but kids that live next door apparently knew the dog and escorted the dog to the owner's backyard and locked the gate. The gate appeared to be unlocked and slightly opened when I first saw it (probably how the dog got out in the first place).

Well, that's it.

My good deed for today.
